Noticing With Caroline Markel Hammond
On this episode of Noticing With I get to talk with Caroline Markel Hammond.
Caroline is a powerhouse, and on this episode, she gave us a new perspective. She is a mom first and foremost, and she shared that her children are her inspiration. Caroline is the CEO & Founder of Safe In Harm’s Way and Epizon Strategy Solutions.
I first came to know Caroline last year through our life-giving friend Jessica McClellann. As I mention in the podcast when I met her I instantly recognized what a bright light she is in the world!
After a significant life event in her own life, she tapped into the master level skills that she had acquired to found her “for purpose” organization, Safe In Harm’s Way. This online platform provides a place where people who are navigating the sadness, the worry, the lies, the fear, the screaming, and the pain of domestic violence, can come to get online resources and community. Through their partnerships they have helped millions of people get the help that they need. See what I mean about her being a powerhouse?!?
There are so many things to good things to Notice about Caroline. One of my favorite things is how she leverages that bright light with her own experiences and expertise to help others. She is a three-time international best selling author, and on the 20 Most Inspiring Leaders of 2022 from Women Leaders Magazine. Caroline has spent 30 years as a results-driven Sales and Training Professional promoting billion-dollar brands for Fortune 500 companies: thriving within sales, human resources, training and development.
This conversation was so packed full of truth, inspiration, and practical ways to heal & thrive. One of the things that makes this episode extra special is that Caroline had just wrapped up a very intentional sabbatical right before we recorded. I loved how she shared about her intentionality and perspective in light of that. She inspired me so much that I want to follow her lead. I loved this conversation and I think you will, too!
So, without further ado, let’s do some Noticing With Caroline Markel Hammond.

Noticing With Taylar Sanders
On this episode of Noticing With I get to talk with Taylar Sanders.
Taylar is such a delightful person. She is a very talented artist who is known throughout Kansas City and online @taylarstake.
Her art and her involvement in the community were first featured on The Noticed Network’s blog in March of 2022, and I am so excited to get to sit down with her in this episode to get her perspective and learn more about her latest project with the Parade of Hearts.
It was so great to get Taylar’s behind the scenes perspective as a Parade of Hearts Artist. From creating and submitting her design “The Heart of the City”, to embracing her confidence when she found out she was selected as an artist, and then getting the 80-pound heart in her apartment where she worked on it for 3 months, and then the joy of reveal day. -- Every bit of Taylar’s story inspires me!
There are so many amazing things to Notice about Taylar. One of my favorite things is how she captures the essence of people so beautifully through her art. From painting people in her community to painting people who have inspired the world, Taylar’s love for people and their stories is alive in her art.
Taylar is a natural Noticer. It was so fun to hear her give a shout out to Cole at Home Depot who helped her pick the purple paint for the heart she created for the Parade of Hearts. She spoke about the power of Noticing and I love how she said “There are so many incredible people and I don’t’ think they know how amazing they are.”
I am so encouraged and inspired by Taylar’s process of self-discovery, and how she has embraced the confidence needed to create and share her gifts and talents with the world. In painting and in life, Taylar is so uplifting and encouraging and she shared so many great nuggets of goodness in this episode.
So without further ado, let’s do some Noticing with Taylar Sanders.
You can connect with Taylar through her website, Instagram & Facebook. And you can learn more about visiting “The Heart of the City” through the Parade of Hearts App.
Noticing With Patty Block
On this episode of Noticing With I get to talk with Patty Block.
Patty is a business advisor and pricing expert who empowers women business owners. She has just launched her book Your Hidden Advantage -- as she shares in this episode being a mom and a daughter has been central to who she is and why she has chosen to impact the world around her in such a positive way. And I am grateful to call her my friend.
I first came to know Patty about 3 years ago as we were part of a masterlab organized by Michael Roderick. This masterlab consisted of several AMAZING thought leaders and focused on content creation. We met once a week via zoom to ideate, strategize, and refine the content that we were individually creating. It was here where I first began to appreciate Patty’s clear and effective process and her heart for helping women.
Over the last few years Patty has generously shared the gifts of her time and expertise with me as I have developed my own content and grown my businesses, and these gifts are priceless to me!
Just this past week Patty launched her book, titled Your Hidden Advantage and it is currently Amazon #1 New Release in 5 categories! I’ve read the book and I find it so inspiring and helpful!!!
Her book ( just like this interview), inspires me to look at life and business through a different lens.
One of my favorite things about Patty is how she shows up with confidence and kindness. She is a great example to me of how woman can enjoy thriving in business and in life
There are so many impactful talking points in this episode, like how we can leverage intuition and perception. I enjoyed this conversation so much and I think you will, too!
Check out this message from Patty with links to the powerful resources she is offering:
Are you giving 'invisible' discounts to prospects who didn't ask for them? The anxiety you feel during a sales conversation manifests when you slash your price because you're afraid you'll lose the sale. Noticing With Jill Easley
On this episode of Noticing With I get to talk with Jill Easley.
Jill owns the sweetest little shop in Oak Grove, Missouri, she is a wife, and is the proud mom to two fantastic kids, one of who just happens to be a Chief Cheerleader
I first came to know Jill about 11 years ago when The Noticed Network was just getting off the ground. Jill worked in The Living Stone, in downtown Lee’s Summit, and the very dear owner of The Living Stone, Sherri Shackles, allowed me to set up a small display and sell the Noticed keychains in her store. I loved going into The Living Stone!! What I remember from all those years ago is the absolute JOY that both Jill and Sherri had on their faces when people walked in. It’s such a gift to find happy people in life and it is priceless when you know that happiness is authentic!
Fast forward a few years and it had been quite a while since I had seen Jill and then there I was (like most of Kansas City) watching the Chiefs Superbowl Parade and I saw Jill's daughter – as a cheerleader – in the parade!!! I remembered that her daughter was a dancer and I was like 99% sure it was her so I jumped on Facebook to see if I could confirm. I was right! I found myself scrolling through Jill's feed and smiling from ear to ear. That same joy that I remember feeling when getting to see Jill in the shop was evident online. It made me want to reconnect.
One of my favorite things about Jill is how magnetic she is! It is a gift and getting to hear her share her story in this episode made me really understand why I love it when a conversation comes around to being authentic and positive even when life has its challenges. Jill gave us a great example of that in this episode.
There are so many nuggets of wisdom and inspiration in this conversation! I enjoyed it so much and I think you will, too!
So, without further ado, let’s do some Noticing With Jill Easley.
Here's a link to find the location details and follow Jill's shop Rustic Blessings
Noticing With Trina Anderson
On this episode of Noticing With I get to talk with Trina Anderson.
Trina is a wife, a mom, a professional coach, AND she is also a belly dancer and a roller derby queen.
I first came to know Trina about 14 years ago when our kids were in kindergarten together. What I remember from all those years ago was her beautiful smile, and how kind she was. She was definitely someone I wanted to get to work with and know better. Over the years I’ve been delighted by Trina’s hobbies – she’s a belly dancer and a roller derby queen – seriously… How cool is that!
One of my favorite things about Trina is how brave she is! And I love the way that she shared about how she navigates her fear in this conversation. I think her process is so inspiring!!!
Trina recently submitted a quote that inspired her to The Noticed Network for us to share on our social platforms. It is a Mathew McConaughy quote from his book Greenlights: “Sometimes you have to leave what you know to find out what you know.” When we shared the quote Trina commented on the post to tell us that the quote had carried her through a recent decision to make a big job change. (Yet again, I can’t help but Notice her bravery!) Her comment made us want to hear more; so I asked her if she’d join me on the podcast.
There are so many nuggets of wisdom and inspiration in this conversation! I enjoyed it so much and I think you will, too!
So, without further ado, let’s do some Noticing With Trina Anderson.

One of my favorite things about Ronnie is how he pays attention to, and Notices, people. Ronnie is a great storyteller and as he shares stories about the goodness that he sees in people it is impossible not to see their humanity in a very real way.
Ronnie has dedicated his life to family and to service which has led him to founding and leading his non-profit, Answering the Call. It is always inspiring to me when people come together to be the good, especially in the most difficult of times. Answering the Call does just that and it was great to learn more about how they are doing that.
So, without further ado, let’s do some Noticing With Ronnie Doumitt.

Mike is a dad, a husband, a realtor, a beloved member of the Lee’s Summit community, and my friend.
I first came to know Mike several years ago at a networking event that I hosted. I enjoyed getting to talk with Mike that day and I have enjoyed every conversation we’ve shared since.
One of my favorite things about him is how he shows up. With a kind heart, an open mind, and a willingness to get to work, Mike is just one of those people you want on your team.
Another of my favorite things about Mike is how intentional he is about paying attention to and consuming goodness. He always has an inspirational thought to share from a podcast he’s been listening too, a book recommendation, or story about the goodness he’s Noticed in our community.
Our conversation on this episode was no exception as he shared some of the things he’s been thinking about lately like:
“What you focus on expands.”
“When in doubt, do the right thing.”
“Others will always have it better or worse than you, so be thankful for you.”
“We should focus on adding more life to our years verses more years to our life.”

Holly is a loving mom and wife, a woman of faith, a grateful daughter, a middle school choir teacher – (as a matter of fact she’s a 2022 Teacher of the Year!!!), and my friend.
I first came to know Holly many years ago when she was my daughters’ choir teacher. She is such a passionate teacher, and it was so easy to Notice that goodness in her. Over the years my admiration for how Holly impacts her students, her colleagues, and the community has just grown.
One of my favorite things about her is how much she loves people. Throughout our conversation Holly wove so many examples of how she lives out this love through her sincerity, her intentionality, and her investment in the lives of her students, as well as in the people that support them.
Another of my favorite things about Holly is how intentional she is. She is a person of excellence, and she shared some really powerful strategies that help her live and work in a place that allows her to give so much to so many.
As the summer starts to wind down and we start to look forward to this next school year it is so impactful to hear the perspective from Holly. Being a teacher – and a student is A LOT! A lot of opportunity, a lot of joy, a lot of struggle, a lot of responsibility – it’s just a lot. Holly helped me to value it even more than I already did, and I think you’ll find so much value in her perspective, too.
So without further ado, let’s do some Noticing With Holly Dahn.

Noticing With Trish Carlyle
On this episode of Noticing With I get to talk with Trish Carlyle
Trish is a mom, a litigation paralegal, a former City Council Member, currently a candidate for County Legislator and my friend.
I first came to know Trish in 2011ish. I was pioneering the idea of The Noticed Network and she was preparing for her first election as candidate for public office. I felt a kindred kind of connection to her right away! It takes a lot of bravery and confident to put ourselves and our ideas out there and it was great to get to talk about that in this interview.
One of my favorite things about Trish is how curious she is. She is always asking great questions and she genuinely wants to hear the answers. She is a person who knows who she is and in confident enough to be open to change.
Another of my favorite things about Trish is how much she loves her kids!! They are her reason for why she is who she is and does what she does, and I think her perspective can inspire us all to tap into our own personal reasons for why (and how) we show up in our own lives.
Trish sees goodness to Notice everywhere and she gives us a great reminder of the humanity that is public service.
