She is transparent about her ups and downs with mental health, depression, anxiety and self-harm. But God helped her with these and she has learnt to refocus from the negative and towards Christ. She practices being mindful of Him, thus the name of her blog "Mindful of Christ." She is the author of ‘Christian based Cognitive Behavioural therapy.’ Lauren is also a Coach; helping people recognise & overcome limiting beliefs & negative mindsets and helps them grow in their relationships with Christ & themselves and find their God given purpose & begin on this journey.

Sharon began her career in the hair care industry in 1979, in Sales and Management, for companies such as M&M Products, Soft Sheen Products, and FML Manufactures Brokers for over fifteen years. She held such positions as, Account Manager, Assistant and District Sales Manager, and National and Regional Merchandising Manager, respectively.
After receiving her make-up artist license through Von Lee in Baltimore, MD, she studied to become a Certified Color Analyst, as well. She started her own private label cosmetics line, “Make Me Over” in 1983, and began her part-time business as an Image Consultant. She also Freelanced as a Make-Up Artist for companies such as Fashion Fair, Elizabeth Arden, Lancôme, and Shiseido.
Sharon's range of expertise and knowledge as a Wardrobe Coach & Stylist, Image Consultant, Certified Color Analyst, and a former Freelance Make-Up Artist, as well as her Corporate experience at Verizon for 15 years, has prepared her to walk into many exceptional opportunities. Her passion for Beauty and Fashion launched the opening of Metamorphosis Jewelry Designs and then Metamorphosis Wardrobe & Accessories Boutique in November 2007, where she served as the Owner and Chief Executive Officer. Taye Uhuru (Tah-Yay Oo-Who-Roo), also known as Camp Cleveland, is a historian, archivist, genealogist, student of middle childhood education and an independent hip-hop artist. The author has visited over 45 states and 60 countries. He has recorded and performed with musicians in the Netherlands, South Africa, Senegal and several other countries. During his travels he has studied abroad. In 2014 he studied in the Dominican Republic at Universidad Ibroamericana (UNIBE). While in the Dominican Republic, he studied Caribbean diseases, Dominican history and culture. He also volunteered at Ama a Tu Projimo Orphanage, La Mina and Centro El Café community centers. In 2016 he studied abroad in Brazil at Universidade do Sul de Santa Carina (UNISUL). There he studied Portuguese, Brazilian history and Capoeira. Taye has also dedicated several years to working with people who have developmental disabilities and tutoring children. The author has also participated in fund raisers, food drives and back to school give away's for people in need in Cleveland, Haiti, Philippines, Cape Verde and other countries. Each year Taye takes groups of adults, middle school, high school, and college students on educational tours to Africa.
