Physical Wellness- developing healthful habits that stick

Physical Wellness is the ability to maintain a healthy quality of life that allows us to get through our daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress. 

It’s the ability to recognize that our behaviors have a significant impact on our wellness and by adopting healthful habits like routine check ups, eating a balanced diet, and moving our bodies, while avoiding destructive habits like smoking, doing drugs, and excessive alcohol consumption we can achieve what our version of optimal Physical Wellness looks like for each of us.

Optimizing our physical wellness improves the quality of our life, and may keep us from getting sick.

The 8 Dimensions to Wellness & Life Audit

Season 2 is all about breaking down each dimension of wellness in an understandable and relatable way!

Wellbeing is the experience of overall health and happiness, and it consists of positive relationships with others, and includes having a sense of purpose in all we do. Wellbeing is so much deeper than its definition though. It literally affects our life in every single area. I’ve done a ton of research on this and learned a lot about it at IIN and also through my own personal experience and I cannot stress enough about how important it is to really think about how this pertains to your life.

There are 8 Dimensions to Wellness that impact every area of our lives and understanding how each dimension impacts us on a daily basis is step one to developing wellness as a lifestyle and truly cultivating our wellbeing.

In todays episode Im diving into work-life integration…no, not balance, integration.

What's the difference between work-life balance and work-life integration? 

Well, by definition, work-life balance seeks to achieve an ideal state where your work and life coexist and thrive separately; while work-life integration is about bringing work and life closer together as one. 

Basically, Work-Life integration is the version of you that has time to enjoy all the different parts of your life that light you up alongside a fulfilling career. 

Work-life integration is the new work-life balance.

This episode of the Prosper & Flourish podcast gives a little insight as to what to expect this first season!

My name is Eryn Vargo and I am your host! I am a wellness enthusiast and I will be your biggest cheerleader as you embark on your own personal growth journey into the world of wellness!

As a certified Institute for Integrative Nutrition Wellness Coach and certified Life's Purpose Coach, I am going to bring you real insight and understanding about what wellness is (and isn't) and how to integrate it into your life, authentic convo's with people about how they are integrating different elements of wellness into their lives and the tools and resources to make it happen! 

We are going to explore foundational wellness and go beyond the hype of the media buzzword "wellness". We are going to get to the true basis for REAL wellness which is your mindset, having a purpose, your outlook, work/life integration, engaging your mind/body/soul and re-evaluating relationships (yes! we are going there!) and most importantly we are going to talk gratitude. 

You see, wellness is not smoothies, diets and supplements- wellness is a lifestyle!

This first season is going to lay the groundwork as you develop your Wellness MAPP™ {measurable, actionable, purposeful plan}! I'll be sharing inspiration, education and motivation along the way!

Our first episode is Monday 10/5 and we will be discussing the 3 Most Important Questions that you should ask yourself!!
