Environmental Wellness- our home and our bodies
Environmental wellness inspires us to live a lifestyle that avoids the toxins that are destroying our health and encourages us to live in harmony with the Earth by taking action to protect it. The goal is to simplify and purify our lives.
Conventional medicine does not acknowledge toxicity as an important health issue, but numerous studies have shown this to be the underlying cause of many chronic symptoms experienced today, like obesity, fatigue, reproductive health issues, hormone imbalances, mental fog, memory loss, sleep disturbances and the rising rates of cancer.
Just as your house collects dust and dirt, so does your body. Our bodies are contaminated with the environmental toxins and chemicals we come into contact with every day. There are the obvious toxins, such as mercury, lead, and arsenic. But did you know toxins can come from candles and plug ins, household cleaners, paper products, food containers, our food and personal care products?
We have two homes, our bodies and the earth. We have to be committed to taking care of both.

Physical Wellness- developing healthful habits that stick
Physical Wellness is the ability to maintain a healthy quality of life that allows us to get through our daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress.
It’s the ability to recognize that our behaviors have a significant impact on our wellness and by adopting healthful habits like routine check ups, eating a balanced diet, and moving our bodies, while avoiding destructive habits like smoking, doing drugs, and excessive alcohol consumption we can achieve what our version of optimal Physical Wellness looks like for each of us.
Optimizing our physical wellness improves the quality of our life, and may keep us from getting sick.

Spiritual Wellness- staying in touch with our spirituality
Cultivating spiritual wellness is a personal matter involving values and beliefs-it also helps to provide a purpose in our lives and in the human existence, and allows us to appreciate our life experiences- the good, bad and ugly.
When we find meaning in these life experiences, we will be able to develop harmony with our inner self and the outside world.
This weeks Prosper & Flourish episode is all about staying connected to our spiritual wellness and finding ways to improve our spiritual wellness when we feel lost, disconnected and defeated.
When we're spiritually healthy, we feel more connected to not only a higher power, but to those around us because we have more clarity about making everyday choices, and our actions become more consistent with our beliefs and values.

Social Wellness- fostering community
Social wellness involves building healthy, nurturing and supportive relationships, as well as, fostering a genuine connection with those around you. With COVID this year, we have all had to learn how to connect and grow our social wellness in new ways…like Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, FaceTime and social media. But, there are other ways to foster our social wellness...

Emotional Wellness- the importance of discussing mental health
Today we are discussing emotional wellness and I am interviewing a dear friend of mine, Suzanne Ramsey. She is always so positive and uplifting and also happens to be Educational Specialist in school psychology. She has her BA in elementary education with a specialization in Early childhood and sociology and she's been working for 30 years in education in public schools and also in private practice.
I decided to bring Suzanne onto the podcast for this Emotional Wellness episode because I think we need to be more open on the importance of discussing mental health, things to look for and how to help those suffering with depression and/or anxiety.
This episode is a bit longer than my usual episodes, but it is packed with lots of information about emotional wellness and mental health.

The 8 Dimensions to Wellness & Life Audit
Season 2 is all about breaking down each dimension of wellness in an understandable and relatable way!
Wellbeing is the experience of overall health and happiness, and it consists of positive relationships with others, and includes having a sense of purpose in all we do. Wellbeing is so much deeper than its definition though. It literally affects our life in every single area. I’ve done a ton of research on this and learned a lot about it at IIN and also through my own personal experience and I cannot stress enough about how important it is to really think about how this pertains to your life.
There are 8 Dimensions to Wellness that impact every area of our lives and understanding how each dimension impacts us on a daily basis is step one to developing wellness as a lifestyle and truly cultivating our wellbeing.

Cultivating Gratitude
Did you know that according to a study published in ‘Personality and Individual Differences,’ grateful people experience fewer aches and pains, and they report feeling healthier than other people? Pretty incredible right? Gratitude may be one of the most overlooked tools that we all have access to every day and the best part…It’s totally free!
The biggest perk is that building a gratitude practice can help you reduce your stress. And who couldn't use that?!
This episode encourages cultivating gratitude because gratitude inspires a more joyful life. I am sharing simple and effective ways to cultivate an attitude of gratitude, along with resources to help you build a gratitude practice!

Re-Evaluate Relationships
This episode of the Prosper & Flourish podcast dives into re-evaluating relationships. It’s important to note that we have different types of relationships and they each influence and affect our lives in a different way. Relationships are one of the foundations to overall wellness and healthy relationships help us thrive, while unhealthy relationships can affect our mood, our happiness and so much more!
So, whether we are putting effort into the good relationships, or that we need to eliminate the bad relationships, or let go of the ugly relationships, or be straight up and address the toxic relationships or maybe we need to ditch certain social media relationships- it is time for us to step back and re-evaluate ALL of our relationships.
In this episode, I'll address the question that I wish I would have asked myself years ago, and I'll share some simple tips that I learned for coping with conflict. I'll also dive into social media relationships and share what I do yearly for my mental health.
It's time that we normalize outgrowing relationships and cheering for each other from afar!

Engage your mind, body and soul
While selfceare looks different for each of us, its important to spend a little time focusing on ourselves, everyday.
We can't pour from an empty cup, so I'm sharing my 20X3 method with you. This is a simple way that I am able to engage my mind, my body and my soul everyday…a simple way that I get to make sure that I spend some time on myself.
The secret key to maintaining some sort of mental clarity is having an intentional approach to "me time”.

Understanding Work-Life Integration
In todays episode Im diving into work-life integration…no, not balance, integration.
What's the difference between work-life balance and work-life integration?
Well, by definition, work-life balance seeks to achieve an ideal state where your work and life coexist and thrive separately; while work-life integration is about bringing work and life closer together as one.
Basically, Work-Life integration is the version of you that has time to enjoy all the different parts of your life that light you up alongside a fulfilling career.
Work-life integration is the new work-life balance.

Defining your Purpose
PURPOSE is by far my FAVORITE topic, ever, because once you find your purpose, your life changes. You see things differently. You understand your reason for being.
There are some people who have a specific talent that is so extreme that it is easy to detect that they were truly “made” to do it.
For the rest of us, determining what we were “made to do” can be a little less obvious. Part of this is because most of us are influenced by our families and society to follow paths that we're “supposed” to.
Our roles, careers, hobbies, and relationships are often chosen more because of our conditioning or because we feel we “should” rather than because they are a fit for whom we truly are.
It is no surprise that the people who make decisions for their lives based on who they really are and what they genuinely want are more satisfied and more successful.
Living a life "on purpose" means using your natural talents, following your natural interests, and living in alignment with who you truly are.
Alignment (my word of the year for 2020) means you are doing what you came here to do!
This episode sheds some light on purpose vs passion and how you can easily find your purpose and live in alignment.

Do you know the 3 Most important Questions that we should be asking ourselves?
Most of us were forced to pick a career path before we were even adults. At that age,we didn't know what we really wanted out of life. We didn't even know what our purpose in life was yet.
These 3 questions will help us discover what it really means to live a life of purpose.
We need to ask ourselves:
What is it I really want and what would truly make me, and the people I love, happy?

We are going to explore foundational wellness and go beyond the hype of the media buzzword "wellness".
