A recording of me and my friend Ben Dean, author of "Uncover Satan, Recover Thyself" having a chat about Satanic Recovery in the midst of the covid pandemic.

Ohhhh who wants to listen to a couple sit and talk about their problems....? Well this came out as a very interesting episode about togetherness and working as a team in a relationship with some nasty jibes and sarcasm but all in all pure silly love.  

Post capitol riot, in middle of covid, and after the social media ban of Trump Dad was struggling with ideas and concepts of tech censorship so DA Ben sat down to offer some interesting insights on the topic. 

Kelly & Grant got married, we talk about marriage, future, the past, and the events that lead to episode 13 & 14. Probably not interesting to anyone except immediate family. 

Kelly is still seeking higher level of mental health care and Dad is seething in loneliness and listening to Pat the Bunny. I picture my sobriety as a house foundation, 4 walls and a roof. This last week has ripped the roof and 3 walls off. I'm standing exposed to the world more than I have been in a long time....the remaining wall is crumbling and the foundation is shaking. 2019 was a big year. Tons of shit happened. Good and Bad but nothing compared to the bullshit 2020 brought us. Kelly and Dad sit down and recap the last year together and the horrible events of 2020 so far!

May 25th 2020, the world rightfully erupted in disgust at the video of Geroge Floyd being murdered on camera by a police officer and 3 other stood by allowing it to happen. Since then peaceful protests have begun in all 50 states and many have turned into riots. Right now racial tensions are high and it is more than ever obvious we as a society must change.  River, this podcast is an endeavor to teach you perspective so you can make informed healthy decisions. Dad sits down with a good friend, Cam and we have an honest straight forward discussion about being a young black man in America.  I hope this offers a perspective to River and anyone listening to broaden your perspective on white privilege, life, and humanity. 

Quarantine 2020! Continuing recovery, locked in or not. Reading "Uncover Satan, Recover Thy Self" by Ben Dean because it's the best recovery book I've ever read. 

Continuing on the quarantine 2020 day 14, I am reading the agnostic daily reading and then chapters from "Uncover Satan Recover Thyself" by Ben Dean. One of the most influential books to my personal recovery because I need structure being locked inside and not working. Please buy the book on Amazon it changed my life and it is worth it!

Well, shit. None of this is good and I only listened to a total of 2 minutes for engineering purposes. These recordings start 9-6-16 and end 3-9-17.

Your father was quite a different man during these and almost completely changed since. For prosperity, I guess I should release these. I have not and probably will not listen to this so I apologize if I disparage anyone in here.

Your father sits down with Uncle Jesse to talk about parenting his two children, reminisce on our youths and misadventures and get a little emotional! We also discuss Uncle Jesse's new chapter of life as he heads off to begin police academy...no not the fun one. 

Context: I chaired a Heroin Anonymous meeting before this discussion. The speaker, who was Christi from episode 3, came out and delivered a rousing share. It mentally threw me off the goal of the original discussion, BUT this is still a great mentally stimulating bout of verbal and emotional exchange. I hope DAB will do it again soon! Ben aka DAB is a person I hold in high regard as someone who is incredibly deep and intellectual. I think this recording will shed light and stimulate your brain as much as it did mine!

In late 2016 I started this podcast with H and C in hopes to help manage my struggles with addiction. I felt AA or NA was a joke and that if I did a weekly or bi-weekly podcast with these two other addicts I could possibly curve the struggle inside myself. Well shortly after this recording I had the "big explosion" and went on a three year spiral. Enjoy!

In late 2016 rather than going the more traditional and time tested route of recovery Dad came up with his own idea. Several weeks before the "major explosion" this idea of birthing a podcast to explore the depths of my addiction came to fruition. This is first of many BONUS episodes to be released of this failed idea.
